- Teak Construction:
Frontgate teak furniture is built of premium, natural teak.
It contains high levels of resinous oils that make it naturally resistant to moisture, repellent to insects and impervious to drying. Teak also contains silica, a sand-like component that makes it resistant to fungal decay, water, rotting, warping, shrinking and swelling. Teak is extremely durable and ideal for outdoor patio furniture and if left untreated, teak will develop a lovely silver-gray patina over time that some people desire.
To avoid staining, do not place new Weathered Teak items on porous stone surface until after at least three rainfalls to account for the release of natural oils. To manually prevent staining, place items on grass or non-porous surface and hose down. Allow pieces to fully dry and repeat this process at least two more times before placing furniture back on porous stone surface. - Cushion Construction: The quality of our outdoor furniture collection cushions is just as superior on the inside as it is on the exterior. We construct each cushion with a high-resiliency foam core wrapped in soft polyester. This excellent grade of polyurethane foam features a higher rebound factor and softer surface for years of consistent comfort and firm support. The cushions are covered with 100% solution-dyed fabrics made in America's finest textile mills.
- Cushion Care: Our cushions are crafted to provide years of comfort and performance in a variety of climates and conditions. However, after extended or heavy rain, some water may penetrate into the inner foam core. If your cushions get wet, stand them on end, with the open zipper or seam side down, to help drain the water and speed the drying process. To clean spills or stains, dilute one cup of chlorine bleach in one gallon of water and test in an inconspicuous area. Saturate a rag or brush in the bleach solution, scrub the entire cushion, rinse well with water, and let the cushions air dry.
