- How often should I order new outdoor cushions? While new cushions are a great way to refresh your outdoor decor any time you want, our cushions are crafted to last for many years with proper care and maintenance (including taking them indoors during harsh winter weather). Our premium 100% waterproof Sunbrella® Rain Cushions stay dry whatever the weather and are available via special order for every collection.
- Are your Sunbrella Rain Cushions available for my furniture? Our 100% waterproof Sunbrella Rain Cushions are available on all our Frontgate outdoor furniture collections with cushions by special order, as well as on our universal replacement cushions (cushions specially made to fit most outdoor furniture). Availability for daybeds and occasional items may vary.
- Why do your Sunbrella Rain Cushions take so long to ship? Since each of our Sunbrella Rain Cushions is custom made for your outdoor furniture, a longer lead time is required.
- Do you need cushions for dining chairs when the cushions are sold separately? Whenever cushions are optional, that dining chair has been designed to be comfortable with or without a cushion. Adding a cushion simply comes down to personal preference.
- How do I find cushions that fit discontinued collections? Our replacement cushions are available for 3 years after an outdoor furniture set has been retired. Call Customer Service at (888) 263-9850 for cushion availability.
- Can I send in my own fabric to be made into cushions? Unfortunately, we are not able to create cushions out of fabric sent in from outside sources.
- Why isn't every cushion fabric available for every furniture collection? Our experts choose fabrics that work best with each collection in order to offer a more curated selection. Often the shape of the furniture frame is a factor in our decision making. For example, striped patterns do not work well with curved frames. However, if you have a specific request, call Customer Service at (888) 263-9850, and we will be happy to look into it.
- Can I store my cushions in your Storage Chest all year long? Depending on your climate, we recommend that you store your cushions in a basement or garage during the winter months.
- Which material is most comfortable – teak, aluminum or wicker? Selecting a frame material is more about style and features rather than comfort, which relies heavily on the cushions. Teak is hand-finished to beautifully display its natural wood grain and will develop a natural weathered patina over time. Aluminum incorporates special touches like beveled details and intricate designs, plus it’s especially durable yet lightweight enough to move around your outdoor space. Our wicker collections feature intricate handwoven patterns you won’t find anywhere else.
- Does aluminum furniture get hot? When exposed to direct sunlight, aluminum does indeed get hot to the touch. One way to mitigate this issue is by pairing your aluminum furniture with one of our stylish outdoor umbrellas.
- Can bistro chairs withstand harsh strong wind? By nature, bistro chairs are much lighter in weight than our standard outdoor seating, so they are best used in breakfast nooks, partially sheltered areas or as extra seating for guests. We do not recommend using them as your main source of formal outdoor dining seating.
- Which of your furniture collections are the most economical? We offer several cushionless outdoor furniture sets that are just as comfortable as our other furniture, but are generally more affordable due to the lack of cushions.
- Where is the best place to use slipcovered outdoor furniture? We recommend that you place these collections in covered outdoor areas. However, the slipcovers are easily removed for machine washing. If furniture is placed in an unsheltered area, we recommend using furniture covers when not in use.
- Do you offer a warranty on your outdoor furniture? Designed to be a part of your life for seasons to come, all Frontgate outdoor furniture frames are backed by an industry-leading 10-year structural frame warranty for residential use. So, no matter which material you choose, you can ensure that your outdoor furniture is top-quality.
