- Do I have to purchase something during or after my appointment?
You do not. This service is entirely complimentary, with no pressure to buy.
- What rooms can I get help designing with Frontgate’s design services program?
Our designers can help with anything ranging from your holiday tablescape to a full patio makeover. We’ve designed living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, dining rooms, media rooms, reading nooks, bathrooms, at-home bars, patios, pool decks, outdoor kitchens and more. Whether your space is small or grand, we’re here to bring your vision to life! (Please note that while we do not offer suggestions for fixtures, flooring, or paint color, our service helps pair our furniture and decor within your home and outdoor spaces.)
- I have a simple design question (i.e., “What size rug do I need for my dining room table?” or “Which fabric is most durable for my kids and pets?”). Do I have to schedule an appointment to get an answer?
Our designers are always available by email at design@frontgate.com. Expect an answer within 24 hours during business hours. If you’re in a rush, our comprehensive buying guides are a great source of information. (For questions about a specific order or delivery, please contact Customer Service.)
- What is the difference between a virtual appointment, a phone appointment and an in-store appointment?
All types of appointments will allow you to walk your designer through your desired vision. After you’ve met, you’ll receive the same output, including space plans, mood boards, quotes and swatches.
Never leave the comfort of your own home with a virtual or phone appointment. Your designer will call you at your scheduled time (by way of phone or Microsoft Teams) and ask questions to assist with your design project. If your appointment is virtual, the designer will share their screen to visually assist with questions. (With a Virtual Appointment, you are also welcome to come prepared to show your space and/or inspirational ideas to your designer as well, though it’s not required.) Following the appointment, your space plan, mood boards, quotes and swatches will be emailed/mailed to you.
Or meet with a designer at a Frontgate location near you, and physically walk through the store together to get a better sense of size, color and comfort. Leave the store that day with swatches, and expect an email follow-up from your designer with your space plan, mood boards and quotes.
For all types of appointments, make sure to fill out the online form with as much detail as possible (when you book your appointment) and include pictures of your space to help your interior designer prepare in advance.
- How do I book an in-store appointment?
We offer in-store appointments at four of our store locations: Dallas, Texas; Atlanta, Georgia; Roswell, Georgia; and West Chester, Ohio. Click here to see more details on their locations and hours. Simply designate that you’d like your appointment in store when you book.
Know that we accept walk-in appointments during regular business hours, no appointment needed. However, we cannot guarantee immediate availability upon arrival.
- How do I access a Virtual Appointment after booking?
After scheduling your Virtual Appointment on our website, your designer will reach out by email with a meeting request for Microsoft Teams. Accepting the meeting request will add the event to your designated email calendar. When it’s time for your meeting, open the meeting invitation and select “Click here to join the meeting.” If you do not already have Microsoft Teams, you do not need to download it to access the meeting. Simply select “Join on the Web” from your meeting invite. Feel free to reach out to your designer with any questions on connectivity issues.
- Does a Virtual Appointment mean I have to share my space on-screen?
Virtual Appointments allow the opportunity for your designer to share visuals through their computer screen, including products on our website, comparable space plans/projects they’ve worked on and other inspiration. You are not required to share your own screen, nor turn your video on at any point in the Virtual Appointment. However, if you’d like the opportunity to walk your designer through the space, show visuals of existing furniture and/or share inspiration, we welcome this collaboration.
- Do you offer in-home appointments?
At this time, we do not.
- Do you offer installation services?
At this time, we do not.
- Can I choose my designer?
If there’s a designer whose work you specifically admire, you can certainly book an appointment with them. Email us at design@frontgate.com to make a request.
- Can the designer work with my existing furniture?
Absolutely! Make sure you send photos of the pieces you want to keep so the designers know how to accommodate them within their plans. However, know that we only provide new options that come from Frontgate collections (not from other brands).
- When can I expect to hear more details about my appointment after I’ve requested?
You’ll receive a confirmation email as soon as you book the appointment. Your designer will personally follow up with you to confirm the appointment a day or two prior. If you’re near a designated retail location, the designer will offer up the option to meet in store.
- How do I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
Upon making your appointment, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Within this email, you’ll have the option to cancel your appointment. You can also email design@frontgate.com for additional assistance.
- What should I expect from my appointment?
During your appointment, your designer will ask follow-up questions based on your provided questionnaire (and other items submitted). From here, they will discuss ideas and product recommendations, refining all the while based on your input. Your appointment should end with a clear, actionable direction for the designer to work from. Within seven business days, you can expect space plans, mood boards and quotes to arrive in your inbox. Feel free to provide feedback to your designer directly in the email thread. Designers are happy to finesse the vision until you are happy with the outcome.
- Does Frontgate offer free 3D room renderings?
Yes. Our designers often use 3D renderings to recreate your space in realistic detail. We’ll place recommended Frontgate products in our space plans so you can see how they’ll look before you buy.
- How long does it take post-appointment for me to receive the plans from the designer?
Depending on the project size, expect a plan back within seven business days. Larger home makeover projects may take more time and come in waves, depending on what you and your designer discuss.
- What if I don’t like the plans that my designer provides?
Designers are happy to finesse plans until you are happy with the outcome. Simply provide them with feedback via your email thread and/or ask to set up another time to meet or speak.
- I’m an interior designer/architect/commercial purchasing agent etc. Can your designers assist with my projects?
Yes. Our designers take on commercial projects in addition to residential ones. Feel free to email design@frontgate.com with more specifics before booking your appointment.
