Think of your bed as a blank canvas. Once you’ve selected the perfect one – unmatched in quality and design – it’s time to add the “flavor.” How well your bed blends with all of your other bedroom decor comes down to one fun but important factor: styling.
Sometimes all the choices for duvets and shams and accent pillows can feel a bit overwhelming. That’s why we teamed up with a couple of our designer friends, House of Jade and Murphy Deesign, to share how they incorporated our iconic Park Lane Canopy Bed into their clients’ homes to create looks distinctly their own. Read on to be inspired and learn more about each design maven’s unique style.
HOUSE OF JADE
Co-founders Kirsten Krason and Erin Morgan were tasked with finding a bed that was dramatic but would fit in a small space. “Four-poster beds are typically overpowering for small spaces. This bed has such delicate and feminine lines that it actually made the room feel larger and grander,” Kirsten said.
The neutral color of the headboard combined with an elevated gold frame allowed them to play with color in a way that felt bold but also tranquil. Pops of dark green velvet are contrasted by a chinoiserie print pillow, bringing in vibrant blues and dusty pink and coordinating effortlessly with the rest of the space.

“The Park Lane Canopy Bed is elegant and classic, and I knew that it would work with any aesthetic direction we wanted to take.”
No matter how you decide to dress up your space, an anchoring piece like the Park Lane Canopy Bed provides a stunning foundation to build your own one-of-a-kind look.
MURPHY DEESIGN
“My client’s room really needed a statement piece, and I wanted it be the bed. The Park Lane Canopy Bed is elegant and classic, and I knew that it would work with any aesthetic direction we wanted it to take,” said designer and blogger Dee Murphy. The goal was to create a cozy retreat with a sense of calm. “The dark blue hue of the paint I chose is dramatic, but so soothing, and the canopy bed with its gold and cream really popped off that color.”
Murphy notes that a canopy bed can help a bedroom feel like a “destination in itself,” so keeping the linens simple and crisp kept the room from feeling too fussy.
