Design with Frontgate: Optimizing Outdoor Living in Dallas

Lifestyle blogger Tanya Foster knows good taste. So, when it came time to give her porch, pool and patio spaces an update, she knew exactly where to turn to translate her ideas into a beautiful reality. Frontgate’s Design Services team members Jason Roso and Talia Spyropoulos from our Plano, Texas, store met with Tanya to learn all about her needs and dreams for the space.

She couldn’t have been happier with results. “Jason… really helped the space come to life. I love[d] [the] planning process and his questions always made me really think about how the space would be used.” Tanya said.

Making a Splash

First up was the pool. “I love the idea of starting with a clean slate,” Tanya said. “We had the pool remodeled in February, and I wanted new pool furniture to show off the area.”

Frontgate’s Design Services team helped Tanya bring her outdoor space to life.

Tanya and the team ran a blue-and-white color palette that evokes the feeling of Cycladic mountainside Grecian villages overlooking the sea.

They really help you maximize your space and think of every way possible you will entertain and use the space. [The team] really helps bring every detail to life.

A large Market Umbrella in Resort Stripe Cobalt sets the stage and casts much needed shade around the poolside lounging area, while a beautifully detailed Seville Umbrella Table offers a spot to set sunscreen and refreshments. Our beloved Palermo Chaises provide comfortable space for lounging and sunning, while the cool, curved Soleil Chairs allow for cooling off in the water without leaving your seat.

Of course, no pool area would be complete without Frontgate staples like World’s Finest Pool FloatTM and a few plush blue-and-white striped pillows and towels.

Alfresco Entertaining

The blue-and-white motifs continue onto the patio space in Tanya’s backyard. She and the design team maintained a light and airy feel by using classic teak from the Cassara collection for the seating and coffee table.

A blue-and-white outdoor rug grounds the patio area making it feel like an outdoor living room. Accents like large scale lanterns that can house real or flameless candles to create ambience tie the space together.

Porch Paradise

Finally, the team turned Tanya’s porch into the perfect place for enjoying a cup of morning coffee or a light lunch outdoors. The Cassara dining table and chairs match the pieces found on the patio to keep all the outdoor spaces feeling cohesive.

Navy blue cushions with white piping offer comfort and style, while accents like a lifelike orchid in a Ming vase elevate the look for welcoming guests.

Tanya recommends Frontgate Design Services for home decorating projects both big and small. “They really help you maximize your space and think of every way possible you will entertain and use the space,” she said. “[The team] really helps bring every detail to life.”
