While we’re still sad (really sad) to see summer go, we can’t deny how excited we are for our favorite autumn activities. Driving in the country to see the leaves changing colors, picking apples and pumpkins, sipping on apple cider – and ending each day in front of a cozy fire. And since that means the fireplace is about to receive a lot more attention, we’re looking for new ways to style it.
EVERYTHING IN ITS PLACE
Traditional and symmetrical, this look makes use of a collection of objects, like our Ming jars and vases. The magic in this mix is its simplicity: A classic mirror and refined fireplace screen subtly showcase the collection and let the fire take center stage.
LAYER UP
Fireplace season = layering season, and we’re not just referring to dressing. We’re adding decorative pillows and throws to the sofa to make things cozier. This mantel follows suit by layering a variety of objects in its look. Using a simple mirror as a base, add matching lamps to both sides. Candlesticks and a simple floral arrangement bring some warmth, and treasured objects add personality. Instant coziness.
CENTER OF ATTENTION
Make a real statement with a favorite piece of art offset by a curated collection of coordinated vases with varying heights. If the temperature doesn’t yet call for the coziness of a fire, add ambience to the hearth by filling it with a dramatic arrangement of Dream Candles. (Bonus: they all turn on with one click of a button.)
