Our wide variety of Christmas trees has been featured on morning TV shows and in national newspapers. This year, our collection of sturdy, durable trees is more diverse than ever. So when your guests ask where you got your Christmas tree, feel free to tell them you chopped it down yourself. We won't tell.

The Frontgate Christmas Tree Collection includes:

Natural Series Christmas Trees

Our most lifelike artificial trees are our Natural Series Christmas trees. Their pre-lit branches are so full, no one will know whether this artificial tree came from the farm or the factory.

Each Natural Series Christmas Tree is crafted based on in-depth studies of real trees. Frontgate designers looked at live trees native to all areas of the United States. They specifically honed in on trees that are routinely picked as Christmas trees around the country — the Noble Fir, the Colorado Blue Spruce, the White Pine, the Fraser Fir, and the Balsam Fir.

Next, each designer studied these trees' branch formations, growth patterns, and needle design and coloration. For each tree in the Natural Series line, our designers worked to color-match the live trees' actual needles and perfectly replicate branch density to hold our trees to nature's own standard of perfection. After creating these natural trees, our designers took advanced steps to ensure each tree looks its best in your family room.

Extra steps include sprinkling artificial pinecones in between each tree's branches for a true in-the-forest look. And 3,000-hour, pre-strung, commercial-grade light bulbs are strategically placed on your tree to highlight the fullness and warmth of your Christmas tree — your guests will think it was the work of a professional designer.

Assembly of your artificial tree is easy with our commercial-quality, hinged construction. And extra branch tip wiring easily accommodates even your largest, heaviest ornaments.

As a bonus, any Natural Series Christmas Tree arrives with a complementary bag of pine-scented potpourri for that final realistic touch. Decorate your artificial tree with our resplendent trim kits, or display the trees with just their included bright lights to show off your Christmas tree's simplicity.

Frontgate's Natural Series Christmas Tree Collection includes:

Noble Fir
The scientific name for a Noble Fir was originally Abies nobilis, but this changed when it was discovered another tree already had this name. Its common name, Noble Fir, was given because of the tree's royal characteristics. The Noble Fir is a perfect choice for a Christmas tree because it is large and sturdy. These trees grow big, heavy cones, and their wood is strong and lightweight; that's one of the reasons some World War II planes were built with Noble Fir frames.

A Nobel Fir has bluish-green, 4-sided needles that are more than 1 inch long. Their branches twist upward, showing their silver undersides and giving off a shinier appearance than its counterparts.

These firs have reddish pollen cones and large seed cones grouped toward the top. Since it's a northwestern tree, you can find Noble Firs in northern California, Oregon, and Washington. The beauty and durability of these trees make them an ideal Christmas tree. Plus, its stiff branches are ideal for hanging large ornaments. Its leaves are also growing in popularity for making wreaths, door swags, and garlands.

Our artificial Noble Fir Christmas Trees are great examples of the ultimate "true-to-nature" tree. Each molded tip is softer to the touch, so the entire pre-lit tree feels (and looks) more realistic than ever. Dense, straight branches feature plump needles in the same blue-green as Nobles growing in the Northwest. Its branches are spaced to perfectly showcase ornaments of all sizes, and each one boasts pre-strung light bulbs.

You and your guests will delight in this artificial Christmas tree, as each one is as full and warm as any real tree. For a regal display, our Noble Fir shines majestically on a stable, heavy-duty stand.

Colorado Blue Spruce
The truly elegant Colorado Blue Spruce Christmas Tree is the official state tree of both Colorado and Utah, but it can be found as far west as Wyoming, east to Idaho, and south to New Mexico and Arizona. It grows relatively slowly, but can live up to 600-800 years old. These trees are also called "pungens" — based on the Latin word meaning "sharp" when referring to a puncture wound — because of their thick needles. These needles are also one reason why the Blue Spruce is often considered as the perfect Christmas tree choice.

In fact, more and more people are choosing Blue Spruces as their Christmas tree because of the tree's naturally symmetrical form and attractive foliage. It also keeps its needles longer than many other spruces. A Blue Spruce's needles are 1 to 1-1/2 inches long on the bottom, and grow slightly shorter the closer to the top you get. Each 4-sided needle is a dull bluish-gray to silvery blue, and has a very sharp point.

If you'd rather not worry about needle retention, our artificial trees are your best bet. Our designers made sure these needle tips felt as natural as any tree you'd find in the outdoors — and they'll stay intact years longer than those in the outdoors.

These artificial Blue Spruce trees are, true to nature, robustly shaped with silvery blue boughs. Just as their counterparts in nature, each pre-lit tree showcases sturdy branches that are thickly packed with short needles. Hang your heirloom ornaments here without worry — this tree won't wilt under the pressure.

White Pine
The White Pine has long been a popular tree species. The state tree of Maine and Michigan, it is considered the largest pine in the United States with a height of more than 80 feet. In colonial times, these trees were sent to England to be used as ship masts.

The White Pine is also useful since it is aggressive in reproducing itself, and is often used to reforest parts of northeastern United States and Canada. It grows throughout the northern United States; as east as Ohio and as far south as northern Georgia and South Carolina.

Its bluish-green to silver-green needles are soft and flexible. Generally arranged in groups of five, they are 2-1/2 to 5 inches long. It also keeps its needles for a long time. White Pine cones are 4 to 8 inches long, slightly curved, and smell like a sweet resin. For those allergic to other traditional Christmas tree varieties, the White Pine has very little aroma.

Our artificial White Pine Christmas Tree has just the sweet aroma of pine-scented potpourri. This pre-lit tree is the perfect choice for those who prefer a long-needle tree that is sturdy enough to last season after season.

Each natural-looking tree is outfitted with dense, sweeping needles that feel soft to the touch.

Fraser Fir
Native to the southern Appalachian Mountains, the Fraser Fir was named for John Fraser (1750-1811) — a Scottish botanist who discovered the species. The trees are also known as a Southern Balsam or Southern Balsam Fir, and very closely resemble the Balsam Fir — another type of artificial Christmas tree we sell.

The Fraser grows naturally from southwest Virginia through western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. It's a perfect Christmas tree because of its compact, pyramid form and long needle retention. Its branches often turn slightly upward, so it's easy to hang large ornaments without worrying about them falling off. The needles are flatter, but have a broad circular base. These trees are dark blue-green in color and emit a pleasant smell, so each one looks and smells like a traditional tree.

The Frontgate Fraser Fir artificial Christmas tree is one of our most beloved trees. Outfitted with shorter needles, our Fraser features molded polyethylene tips that feature a distinctive bluish under-tint.

This pre-lit tree is different from others in the Natural Series because of its slightly upturned boughs, which ensure your ornaments will hang beautifully from well-spaced branches. As with its counterpart in nature, each Fraser has one-inch needles that are soft to the touch.

Balsam Fir
The first references to Balsam Firs were found in 1768. The tree's scientific name is "balsamea" — a word that refers to the tree's resinous blisters found on the bark. Again, the Balsam Fir and Fraser Fir seem very similar, although they grow in different areas of the country.

Balsams love cooler climates — it's typically found in Canada, but can grow as far south as Virginia. Individual trees may be 150-200 years old and can reach up to 40-60 feet in nature.

This species is best suited for Christmas because of its dark-green color and dense, long-lasting needles. These trees are perfectly shaped to fill out someone's family room: They're shaped like a pyramid with a slender top. This Christmas tree typically has two rows of flat, blunt needles with a broad circular base on the bottom of the tree. The curved needles spread outward to ensure a dense, compact tree.

Our Balsam Fir pre-lit Christmas trees will remind you of the fresh-from-the-forest trees you enjoyed as a child. Just as nature intended, our artificial trees have short, dense needles and long, fine branches. Our artificial trees feature lifelike pinecones, and slightly upturned branches that are spaced perfectly for oversized ornaments.

This artificial Christmas tree is accompanied by a free sachet of pinecones that will give off a Balsam scent just like the real thing.
